I started at Rooks and walked around the upper path area beyond the dam. I then walked to the lake itself. The Calliope Hummingbird on the upper path is back and sat near enough to me to get some good shots. I saw a least one maybe two other Calliopes later in the day. I saw some Yellow Warblers chasing each other around, and a Spotted Sandpiper at the Spillway in Rooks. A male Western Tanager was feeding on bugs and sat in a tree while I snapped a few shots. It was a great day and the birds are on the way back to Walla Walla.
