Sandpoint Idaho held many nice birding opportunities. I was able to add several birds to my life list, including Tundra Swans, Common Loon, Yellow-billed Loon, Evening Grosbeak, and Bohemian Waxwings. The weather was cold and then turned to rain. Earl Chapin and his wife Bev took me out birding and showed me where to birding as well as where to find the Yellow-billed Loon. The Bohemian Waxwings were flocked in the trees behind our house and numbered around 300 or more. The Bald Eagles were out in force around the lake. We also saw Common Goldeneyes, Red Breasted Mergansers, Common Mergansers, and many others.
