Sunny Day at Rooks and Bennington

Today was the first day in a long time that could actually be called sunny. Although when I actually got to go birding the sun was hidden here and there by some clouds. Between Rooks Park and the Community College I saw two American Dippers, some Hooded Mergansers, American Wigeon, Oregon Juncos and some Black Capped Chickadees. Between Rooks Park and Bennington Lake I saw a lot of Oregon Juncos, Black Capped Chickadees, Downy Woodpeckers, Northern Flickers, American Robins, and a couple Great Horned Owls. I looked for the Northern Shrike but didn't end up seeing them, same with the Townsend's Solitaire. It was a great walk and I enjoying taking some paths I had never been on before.
