New Lens Arrived.......where be the birds?

I received a call today that my new lens had finally arrived. I zipped down to the store and picked it up. I took it to Mill Creek behind Kmart and decided to test it out/ learn how to use it. The zoom on the camera is amazing. I'm still working hard on adjusting everything on my camera and learning to use the new lens, but here is a picture from the 30 minutes spent playing with it. If you have mentioned your camera's brand , I guess I missed it? Very nice wigeons. We are still a little scanty on ducks here, but soon they will be flying in. I can't wait. It will be duck soup in the estuary!

Wow Jon, after a little forensic work it looks like a 50D with a 100-400. Makes me want to get out and do some shooting! You lucky duck ;)
